Millennium
Video Page
The AVI and MPEG playback at full screen
seems sluggish?
The hardware acceleration only run in 16bit or
32 bit mode. Check your configuration in
Windows 3.x - MGA Millennium PowerDesk or
the MGA Control Panel
Windows 95 - Control Panel, Display, MGA Settings,
Color palette
Is the DCI Video for Windows accelerator on?
You may ask DCI what?
Windows 3.x - Didn't you read the installation
guide page 8? "The DCI driver is always installed by the installation
program, but is enabled at your request only." Without the DCI on,
no video acceleration! Turn it on from the uninstall utility. Yeap,
you would have guessed that you can ture it on from the uninstall utility,
wouldn't you.
Windows 95 - There isn't any DCI switch in Win95
but in order to make the Compcore's MPEG player works smoothly, you need
to install DirectX. What Direct X? Didn't you go to their software
download area and look? No Direct X. No accelerated MPEG playback.
If you have problem installing the DirectX that you downloaded from Matrox,
go to your closest software store and get a Game that only run on Windows
95. They have the full version of DirectX there.
